What It Is
Safe n Simple Silicone Scar Sheets are made from medical-grade silicone and designed to support the appearance of scars resulting from C-sections, surgery, burns, lacerations, scrapes and abrasions, and keloids. Available in two roll sizes — 1.6″ x 60″ and 1.6″ x 120″ — the sheets can be cut to the exact length needed for scars of any size or shape.
How Silicone Scar Sheet Works
Silicone sheeting is a widely used approach for scar management, working by creating a protective, occlusive layer over the scar that helps retain moisture and regulate the skin’s hydration at the scar site. This controlled environment is commonly associated with softer, flatter, and less noticeable scar tissue over time with consistent use.
Suitable for Old and New Scars
The sheets can be used on both new and older scars. For new scars, it’s recommended to wait until the wound has fully healed — typically about 7 days — before beginning use. Older, already-healed scars can be treated immediately, making this a flexible option regardless of when the original injury occurred.
Reusable, Cut-to-Size Design
Unlike pre-cut scar patches, the roll format allows you to cut a custom-sized piece for each individual scar, minimizing waste and accommodating scars of virtually any length or shape. Each cut piece is reusable — after wear, the sheet can be gently washed with mild soap and water, air-dried, and reapplied, allowing for extended use from a single roll.
Flexible, Comfortable Wear
The soft, stretchable silicone material conforms naturally to the body’s contours, allowing it to stay in place during daily movement without feeling stiff or restrictive. This makes it suitable for wear on flexible areas of the body, such as the abdomen after a C-section or joints affected by surgical scarring.
Directions for Use
Clean and dry the scar area, then cut a piece of the silicone sheet to size and press it gently onto the scar, smoothing out any bubbles or wrinkles. Wear as directed — typically 12 to 24 hours per day — removing only for cleaning. Continued daily use over an extended period is recommended for optimal results, as scar appearance typically improves gradually with consistent application.
