Integrity Skin Barrier Ring
This 2-inch ostomy seal is designed to protect the delicate skin surrounding a stoma and prevent appliance leaks. Packaged in a convenient 20-unit box, these standard-wear rings offer a highly reliable, user-friendly solution to enhance the overall security and comfort of your daily pouching system.
How This Product Works
Engineered with exceptional melt-down resistance, this barrier ring maintains its structural integrity even when exposed to continuous body heat or high-volume stoma output. The advanced hydrocolloid material is highly adhesive and moisture-absorbing, expanding gently to fill the space between the stoma and the wafer. This blocks corrosive fluids from sliding underneath, keeping the skin healthy and reducing the risk of painful irritation.
Where to Use This Product
These rings are ideal for individuals managing a colostomy, ileostomy, or urostomy who experience frequent leaks or skin breakdown. They are perfectly suited for leveling out uneven skin contours, abdominal creases, or surgical scars right around the stoma. They serve as an incredibly clean, completely mess-free alternative to traditional ostomy pastes and work seamlessly with both one-piece and two-piece pouching systems.
Directions for Use
Thoroughly clean and dry the skin surrounding the stoma, ensuring the area is completely free from oils, soaps, or sticky residues. Remove the flexible ring from its protective plastic backing. Gently stretch or mold the material with your fingers until the central opening matches the unique shape and size of your stoma. Place the shaped ring directly onto your body around the stoma, or press it flat onto the adhesive side of your ostomy wafer. Press the pouching system firmly onto your abdomen, holding it with warm hands for a few moments to activate a secure, airtight seal.
Storage & Handling
To preserve the maximum adhesive strength and moisture-absorbing capabilities of the hydrocolloid material, store the box in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposure to high humidity, freezing conditions, or extreme heat, which can warp the material or degrade its tacky formula. Keep each ring individually wrapped until the exact moment of application to ensure optimal performance.
